Wassup with this Obama-endorsing video?

As an attempt to illustrate how eight years of George Bush has led to economic despair, war and financial meltdown, this “Waasup 2008” Barack Obama-endorsing video from the director of Budweiser’s “Wassup” campaign hits the spot.
Eight years on from the blokey insouciance of the Bud spots, the cast are reunited in adversity. Charles Stone 111, director and one of the stars of the original Bud ad, kicks off the video, which was produced without any involvement or money from Budweiser. After a despairing sigh, he answers a “wassup” with: “Nottin, lost my home, looking for a job, what’s up with you”.
It transpires the rest of his cohorts are also facing difficulties – fighting in Iraq, struggling to find affordable healthcare, on the brink of suicide after seeing investments head south and struggling in hurricane-strength weather.
The video concludes with an altogether more upbeat scene when Charles Stone, answers the final “Wassup” with a smile and a reflective “change”.
More effective than the potentially soporific half hour slot Senator Obama has booked for the uber ads to be aired this evening on US TV. What are your thoughts?
