Take that Gogarty

Did you hear about that b*stard Max Gogarty? He’s not only bagged himself a trip around India but also got The Grauniad to fork out for it; the paper (whoops, best make that media brand) has agreed to chronicle his adventures as a blog. What a complete and utter low life, and there’s more.

It only transpires that his old man is a travel writer too and has, in the past, had articles published by non-other than, wait for it, The Grauniad. Well, would you believe it, the injustice. I suspect his father even gave him the name of the person to contact at the media owner to discuss possible commissions. Can you believe that – meanwhile the rest of us plebs have to go to all the trouble of picking up the phone and talking to someone.

It’s been widely speculated that Evil Maxy-boy - as he should now be known - might even have gone to a fee-paying school. In fact, the general consensus seems to be that Max is not even black or deprived at all.

Don’t worry, the teenager and his loving family have been significantly harassed, bullied, vilified and petrified to ensure that he never tries such a thing again.

Such a great thing, envy.
