Sorry but you are boring me

Think that as a marketing director you are able to captivate a dinner party, impress the ladies at a trendy bar and in general have one of the most interesting jobs around? Wrong - and to rub salt in the wound sales people are more interesting.
That’s according to a poll by CCBfast.map anyway. The company polled a panel of more than 1250 people for their views on different types of profession and 17 per cent felt marketers were more boring than sales people (15 per cent felt the opposite).
Marketing teams will be glad to know that if they can’t hold their own with the slick, fast-talking guys and gals in sales they are at least regarded as less irritating, according to the poll.
However, neither marketing nor sales really has much to celebrate with untrustworthiness considered the second strongest trait within both groups. What did you all do to deserve such a reputation?
Alongside marketers and sales people the poll also took in doctors, lawyers, teachers, accountants, bankers and guess what? No-one of the professions scored any marks in the “sexy” category. Luckily journalists were not included! Maybe it’s time to ask your ad and media agencies how to rebrand and reposition the marketing job?

memyself’s comment is....
surprise surprise…earth is really round!!!1
of course they are boring: if they were not they would not be “marketing’ people.
I can spot them from miles, although sometimes I confuse them with estate agents and double glazing salesmen. Usually the loudest ones who think that they are funny.
