Michael O’Leary is a superfly guy

Ryanair SuperflyUh oh – is there another Crazy Frog on the way? Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary seems to be branching out into branded content with the single “Mr Superfly”.

In between his incessant battles with other airlines, airport operators and the EC, O’Leary has discovered a way to make more millions and possibly torture us all. The Ryanair in-flight trolley dolly song has been adapted for a single release in the guise of a kids’ cartoon character.

Mr Superfly has been devised by some clever marketers and music specialists to push Ryanair and make several stakeholders some money. The character is even called Ryan, for gawdsakes. So now your children will be agitating for Mr Superfly merchandise and the ringtone will be blasting your ears, if all goes according to plan.

What next? Willie Walsh creates “In The Flight Garden”? That’s an in-joke for parents, by the way.
