But mobiles are used for everything?

A new report was published yesterday saying that the number of calls made from mobile phones has fallen by 28.5 per cent. Have we finally grown tired of the convenience of mobiles?
The figures suggest that the novelty of constantly being in touch and reachable is starting to fade away and suddenly being constantly interrupted by your friends with free minutes over dinner or while on the train isn’t so attractive.
The report, from J.D. Power and Associates, said it is the first time in ten years that the number of phone calls has dropped instead of risen.
The research did show however that the number of text messages and emails had increased with the average number of text messages sent a week rising from 32 to 46.
With all the new functionalities and gadgets that mobile phones now provide, we are actually spending 20 per cent less on our monthly mobile phone bills.
Could it be a sign that the mobile market in the UK has become so saturated that leading carriers competing with each other have, instead of taking more business and creating more multi-functional phones, actually deterred us from dialling? Perhaps all the fanciness is maker it harder for us to understand just how to make a phone call.
